......In point of fact, the National expression of the AIFYE is a necessary function of an integrated process of monitoring and engagement of the young people in basic Entrepreneurial practices that should be strengthened rather than diminished.
The AIFYE’s strategy aims at pursuing regional entrepreneurship development basing on the socio-cultural-economic activities and aspects of its various members to strengthen its country and regional level engagement in the practicalities of designing and implementing AIFYE driven programs, as this will help in preserving the good cultural-socio dimensions of our members.
It is envisaged that the learning experiences from this practical engagement will serve to better inform and strengthen the National advocacy platform of the AIFYE for institutional and policy change within the field of Entrepreneurship.
The regional Entrepreneurship processes are not developed to replace the National process but rather to strengthen it. There is still a clear need for National advocacy of the various institutions for a uniform Entrepreneurial practice, but this has as well to change to fit better into a reshaped AIFYE model, this is because various young people are bared by their various cultural restrictions to engage in various activities.
It is equally true that the AIFYE has seen increasing participation in dealing with a number of other development NGOs that have done very good work on monitoring Entrepreneurial policies and operations. These initiatives are important and should continue to occupy attention. But the great majorities of them are central based in operation and many times respond to stimuli that are not necessarily born of a full appreciation of the realities of actually living the conditions which they seek to change.
What AIFYE has is the capacity to engage and relate with these Organisations in dealing consistently and deeply on matters of policy and practice. And it is to this end that the AIFYE is seeking to bring a Regional based Entrepreneurial approach (regionalisation process).
To this extent the Group will seek over the next three years to reform, strengthen and bring greater to its operations, while streamlining its efforts at building its capacity to " influence the emergence of participatory methodologies in Entrepreneurial policy formulation and implementation".
